Terms of Service

Welcome to Promptnator ("we", "us", "the Service") at promptnator.xyz. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Promptnator.

This is a plain-language agreement for our soft-launch product. It is not a substitute for legal advice tailored to your situation.

1. What Promptnator is

Promptnator helps you turn rough ideas into structured AI prompts, save them in a Vault, share public templates, and (on paid plans) use higher limits and features. Output quality depends on AI models and your inputs; we do not guarantee any specific result.

2. Accounts & free trial

• You may try a limited number of generations without an account (currently 3 free anonymous generations per browser).
• Creating an account (via our auth provider) lets you save prompts and manage a plan.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping sign-in credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract where you live (usually 16+ or with guardian consent).

3. Plans, payments & refunds

• Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Premium) are billed through our payment provider (Dodo Payments). Prices are shown on the Pricing page.
• Generation limits and features are described in-product and may change with notice.
• Subscriptions renew until cancelled according to the payment provider’s flow.
• Refunds, if any, follow the payment provider’s policies and applicable law. Contact hello@promptnator.xyz for billing issues.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law, or generate content that is illegal, harmful, or that violates others’ rights.
• Abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service, or bypass rate limits, free-trial limits, or security controls.
• Share malware, phishing content, or attempts to harvest personal data without consent.
• Resell access to the Service without our written permission.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation with Promptnator.

We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, non-payment, or risk to the Service or other users.

5. Your content & our license

• You own the prompts and inputs you create. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display them as needed to run the Service (including public share pages when you set visibility to public).
• Public prompts may be viewed, copied, or remixed by others under the product’s share features.
• Do not upload secrets, passwords, or personal data you are not allowed to process.

6. AI providers

Generations may be sent to third-party AI providers (for example DeepSeek or xAI depending on plan and configuration). Their processing is subject to their terms. Do not submit data you cannot share with those providers.

7. Availability & changes

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change during soft launch. We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW. AI output may be inaccurate or inappropriate — you are responsible for reviewing it before use.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, PROMPTNATOR AND ITS OPERATORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR USD $50 IF YOU PAID NOTHING).
